Newcraighall Station is currently the final terminus of the Edinburgh Crossrail line. It lies close to the A1, connecting Edinburgh with East Lothian and the Scottish Borders.
Monday to Saturday daytimes there is a half-hourly service to Edinburgh and an hourly evening service. Trains normally continue to Fife, though some peak hour services run to Dunblane instead.
The station is served by the number 30 and N30 Lothian Buses services, which connect Musselburgh to Clovenstone via the city centre.
Newcraighall station is close to Fort Kinnaird Retail Park, where a major £13m development was completed in spring 2015 creating 250 jobs.
